
Municipality of Lamia organizes the 6th “Lamia Night & Run 2019”
Lamia will be for another year the hostess city and co-organizer of Lamia’s Night Run 2019, one of the most massive sports events for both young and old Citizens.
This year’s event, renewed and with many changes, will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 and includes a 10,000-meter race, a 2,800-meter race, a 2 x 5,000-meter relay race, a 500-meter race for children with disabilities, and Speed Night Run for pupils and athletes of the Kindergarten and Primary School to be held at the Kamaritsa Stadium on 11 May 2019.
The 10 km route becomes much faster, safer and more attractive. They will be conducted in the urban fabric, in the center and in the southern part of the city, with smooth slopes and most kilometers will be on a flat track and on bicycle parts. Athletes, who will start at Eleftheria’s Square, will be run for a distance of 10 kilometers (2 x 5,000 meters) in a circle route and will finish at Eleftheria’s Square.
The 4.5 km route, narrows to 2.8 km, enables citizens of all ages to participate safely in a sporting event.
The 2 x 5,000 meter relay follows the 10 km route, while the 500-meter road race for kids with disabilities remains unchanged.

“Lamia Night Run” for the Citizens of Lamia is not just a simple race, but an event that sets the bar high, and this is proven by the great participation of the Citizens every year.
