The island of Kea is included, according to the Times of England, in the 50 best hidden islands of Europe
The British newspaper The Times, England’s oldest daily newspaper, in its recent tribute, included the Kea in 50 Best islands – secret destinations in Europe. In the list there are also 10 Greek islands, 9 islands of Italy, 10 of France, 6 of Croatia, 8 Spain and some more from the rest of Europe.
Kea (municipality of Kea) is mentioned as an island not known by many, although it is very close to Athens. Apart from its wonderful beaches and picturesque settlements, the columnists were impressed by its history. They write specifically about Karthea and how great the city has been at ancient years, with its remains still preserved until now. They also mention that the island is very beautiful. So that the One & Only Group chose it for its new luxury hotel unit. Finally, they urge travelers, after their arrival at the airport, to be found directly in Lavrio and from there, in just one hour, in Kea.
This projection is of particular value as The Times have prestige, large readership and subscribers around the world. Is there anything better from this, for the island’s tourism for this summer?
