Christos Panopoulos is a Medical Oncologist based in Ampelokipoi, Athens, specializing in modern oncological treatment. Curriculum VitaeMedical Oncologist Christos Panopoulos was born in Athens and graduated from the 7th Boys’ High School of Athens. He studied Medicine at the University of Genoa, from which he graduated with honors. In 1983 he worked as a University Researcher at the Institute of Pathology of the Medical School of the University of Genoa. After returning to Greece and completing his military service, he served as a Rural Physician at the Platsa Health Center (1985–1986). He specialized in Internal Medicine at the 3rd IKA Hospital of Athens and obtained his specialty title in 1991. In 1998 he was awarded the title of Medical Oncologist.
He served for many years at the Oncology Hospital “Agioi Anargyroi” and at the Anticancer Hospital “Agios Savvas,” where he was Director of the 2nd Oncology Department until 2015. Since then, he has been active in the private sector as Director of the Oncology Department of Euroclinic Athens, while also maintaining a private practice in Athens.
He completed his doctoral thesis at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) on hormone-resistant prostate cancer. He has extensive scientific and educational activity, with numerous publications, authorship of books, participation in conferences, and more than 450 scientific lectures.
He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Clinical Oncology (HECOG) and a founding member of the Hellenic Oncology Research Group. He has participated in a significant number of scientific papers published in international and Greek medical journals.
